Game Informer has said that the Wii 2 is coming soon; according to them, it is coming in June or sooner! New features include High Definition (...finally, Nintendo! 480p is just sooo old...) and a few other new things, I'm guessing - however, Game Informer didn't really mention much, nor did pcworld.com I wonder if the console will have 720p or 1080p? Or maybe higher... my television is 1200p! Some people have 1440p and even 1600p! YouTube even supports resolutions as high as 4k - (4096x3112) OR 3112p! Some are also saying the Wii 2 might support Blu-Ray discs, but that's just unsupported theories (so far...).
The Wii has been inferior to the other two consoles in many ways for years now; the only advantage it had over the 360 and the PS3 were the motion controls. After the PS3 and 360 came out with Move and Kinect, respectively, they were then fully superior and Wii sales started to drop. The 360 came out on top and is still on top, with the Kinect outselling Move and the Wii.
It seems that with all of the declining sales of the Wii, and the rumors that the Wii is coming down in price at the end of May (or beginning of June), the details from multiple sources, Wii's inferiority and few big game makers for the Wii - the Wii 2 may very seriously be around the corner.
I really want to see a Wii 2 (Wii successor - Nintendo doesn't usually call it the same thing as their previous installment). I loved some of the games on Wii, but it seems to me that the Wii just had very few that were good. The ones that were good were original, amazing, cool, awesome, different and whatever other positive word you could think up! I loved Metroid games, Mario games, Zelda, etc. However, I think it's time for a new installment in the line of Nintendo consoles, or they'll be stuck behind the other two consoles forever.

Nonetheless, this new name is because of the way the console will stream to four different controllers - 1080p videos right on the controllers themselves. These controllers will be touchscreen tablet controllers and probably will be 6-inch screens.
Nintendo has decided to go ahead and bring down the price on their Nintendo Wii; recently, there was a rumor that it would drop to $150. There is also the evidence of the new console coming out soon, which will probably be revealed at E3, or around the time of E3 this year; this will be in late May or early June.
Project Cafe is the current name of the new console being revealed soon; Nintendo has kept it a big secret, but there have been rumors and things that have escaped their stone walls. Now we know about how it will be more powerful than a 360 or PS3 - it will have a controller with an HD screen on it - and it will be backwards compatible with the Wii and the GameCube! (Far better than the 360 or PS3, in my opinion... at least the rumors)
