Wii 2, Camera Controls incorporated?

This is a concept for the controller (fan-made)
It seems that rumors are being thrown around all over the place about this next-gen console from Nintendo; it's currently codenamed Project Cafe, but the real name will be revealed to us at E3 or maybe a little before!

It seems now that they will be incorporating camera controls into the system; this means that they are probably trying to compete with Kinect from Microsoft. Reading more about this, some are saying that the 3DS may be able to be used as a stand in for the camera if you don't have one!

Project Cafe, Wii successor, Designs

IGN asked for people to make their own ideas of what the Wii 2 (Wii's successor, codenamed: Project Café) will look like. There are rumors and speculation circulating everywhere and Nintendo has announced that the console will be revealed at E3.

There were quite a few cool designs that IGN revealed from its users, even if one of them does kind of look like a VCR...

There are far more designs at IGN, but this one to the left is my favorite. It may look like a VCR, like I said, but it still looks awesome! IT has four controller ports, which use USB, and the system kind of reminds me of the Nintendo and Super Nintendo consoles...

Anyway, I really hope it doesn't have the name that this person gave it... Nintendo BEEM; that would be such a strange name... Most people believe it's going to be called the Nintendo Stream, so far - this is because of the cool way it streams 1080p video to each of the four controllers, simultaneously. How is this useful, you ask? Well, if you are playing a four-player split-screen game, you don't want the others to cheat by looking at your screen; so, you can simply look at your controller without anyone being able to spy on you on the same screen as theirs! And, you get your own screen instead of having to share it...

Plus, 1080p is a really high resolution, meaning this console is very powerful. The 360 and PS3 are both capable of 720p, 1080i and 1080p - however, most games on these consoles usually only make the effort of using 720p, even though it's a far smaller resolution. If this console can stream four 1080p videos at the same time, it has to be very, very powerful...

Nintendo, Confirms Next-gen Console Playable at E3 2011

Nintendo has confirmed that their next-gen console will be playable at E3 2011. They have stated that the system will be available by early 2012. Nintendo's profits have fell sharply, mostly because of declining sales of the Nintendo Wii.

Microsoft's Kinect and Playstation Move are two of the biggest factors hurting Nintendo; now, Nintendo has created a new system that will truly be revolutionary, called the Nintendo Stream - according to some sources. It will have an HD 1080p, six-inch screen on four different controllers streamed from the console. This is like processing four different games at the same time!

The Nintendo Stream is sounding pretty cool, I think! I know I'll be getting one :D

Nintendo's next-gen console 'called Stream'

Nintendo's next-gen console is very likely going to be called Stream. (IGN made a joke of - let's just hope its not called the Wii Stream... Eww!) Anyway, I'm sure people will still make that joke, even if it's just called Stream. People will have a Wii and then a Stream...

In all honesty, I don't think IGN's concept of the controller is right. I think that it will be more like a tablet (like the Ipad) than a controller. It probably won't have buttons, but who knows. I just think that it would be freaking huge if it had all those buttons around a six-inch screen...
Nonetheless, this new name is because of the way the console will stream to four different controllers - 1080p videos right on the controllers themselves. These controllers will be touchscreen tablet controllers and probably will be 6-inch screens.

The hardware in this new system has to be powerful to put out four different 1080p videos at the same time (like running four different games at the same time!). So it, of course, is far more powerful than the Xbox 360 and the PS3!

This game system will also have easy portability from the 360 and PC, so that means we may see a lot of games be on only PC, 360 and Stream, soon; this will leave Sony in the dark, like their PSN outage did to use PS3 users...
