Wii 2, Camera Controls incorporated?

This is a concept for the controller (fan-made)
It seems that rumors are being thrown around all over the place about this next-gen console from Nintendo; it's currently codenamed Project Cafe, but the real name will be revealed to us at E3 or maybe a little before!

It seems now that they will be incorporating camera controls into the system; this means that they are probably trying to compete with Kinect from Microsoft. Reading more about this, some are saying that the 3DS may be able to be used as a stand in for the camera if you don't have one!

Project Cafe (Wii 2), leaked video of console?

It seems that someone may have leaked a video of the successor to the Wii, which is currently codenamed Project Cafe; most people seem to think it'll end up being called Nintendo Stream, because it streams four 1080p videos at the same time to four different controllers, which all have touch screens!

The hardware in this new console is also far better than that of the 360 and PS3 (which is understandable, because it's far newer). Nintendo and other game developers were all having trouble innovating anything else with the console, so they had to make a new one.

Nintendo has been behind with the Wii for years now, and with the release of Playstation Move and mostly the release of Microsoft's Kinect, the Wii had nothing special about it, anymore; the Wii is just a withered old husk, ready to become obsolete (if it hasn't already...).

The new console will be completely backwards compatible with older games from GameCube and the Wii, but the compatibility with older games from other systems is unknown; however, they have said it will have a higher emphasis on backwards compatibility (I hope it comes with a Super Nintendo game player! :D)

Project Cafe is said to also be the most developer friendly system; this means that they will make it very easy to develop games for their console. This is way different than the Wii, which many people had trouble programming for, because of the Wiimote's motion controls.

The SDK (Software Development Kit) for this console sounds awesome! We may finally get to see mainstream games being released on all three consoles, with great graphics! Maybe even a FFXIII rerelease, but with 1080p! (instead of 720p like on PS3 and 360...)

Xbox Division, Kinect sells millions more

Microsoft's Xbox Division's sales have gone up by 60% and Kinect has sold millions more. Kinect is the awesome new way to control video games - it allows for the player to not have to use a controller at all and the player can just stand there and move about and talk to control the Xbox (or whatever platform someone decides to program Kinect to work for!).

Anyway, this has allowed this one division to make a net profit of almost $2,000,000,000 - that is, two-billion dollars.

Conduit 2, Screenshots

Here is a compilation of screenshots from the Wii game, Conduit 2; it is a sequel to a game that was considered to have great potential, even if it wasn't the greatest game out there. I guess it would be pretty hard to make a good shooter for the Wii - it has terrible graphics capabilities.

Nintendo, Confirms Next-gen Console Playable at E3 2011

Nintendo has confirmed that their next-gen console will be playable at E3 2011. They have stated that the system will be available by early 2012. Nintendo's profits have fell sharply, mostly because of declining sales of the Nintendo Wii.

Microsoft's Kinect and Playstation Move are two of the biggest factors hurting Nintendo; now, Nintendo has created a new system that will truly be revolutionary, called the Nintendo Stream - according to some sources. It will have an HD 1080p, six-inch screen on four different controllers streamed from the console. This is like processing four different games at the same time!

The Nintendo Stream is sounding pretty cool, I think! I know I'll be getting one :D

Nintendo's next-gen console 'called Stream'

Nintendo's next-gen console is very likely going to be called Stream. (IGN made a joke of - let's just hope its not called the Wii Stream... Eww!) Anyway, I'm sure people will still make that joke, even if it's just called Stream. People will have a Wii and then a Stream...

In all honesty, I don't think IGN's concept of the controller is right. I think that it will be more like a tablet (like the Ipad) than a controller. It probably won't have buttons, but who knows. I just think that it would be freaking huge if it had all those buttons around a six-inch screen...
Nonetheless, this new name is because of the way the console will stream to four different controllers - 1080p videos right on the controllers themselves. These controllers will be touchscreen tablet controllers and probably will be 6-inch screens.

The hardware in this new system has to be powerful to put out four different 1080p videos at the same time (like running four different games at the same time!). So it, of course, is far more powerful than the Xbox 360 and the PS3!

This game system will also have easy portability from the 360 and PC, so that means we may see a lot of games be on only PC, 360 and Stream, soon; this will leave Sony in the dark, like their PSN outage did to use PS3 users...

Nintendo's Next gen Console, Cost, Specs, Design and Release Date

The next gen console from Nintendo is already coming soon, and is expected to be announced next month at E3 or something around then.

Here are some of the feature of the new system:

  • $350 - $400 dollar cost, based on manufacturing costs
  • Controller with HD (1080p) Touchscreen (Able to Stream split screen games to four different controllers, so people don't have to look at one screen split into four - they'll have their own personal screen on the controller!)
  • Better hardware than the PS3 and 360 (Expect releases to now be on all three companies' consoles! And for more exclusives for this new system, that can't be handled by the 360 or PS3!)
  • Release date between October - November
  • Name Pending for the Console (Codenamed : Project Cafe)
  • According to my source, it will look like a more modernized version of the Super Nintendo

I can't wait until we get our hands on this amazing sounding console! :D

Project Cafe, Nintendo's new console, Controller Concept

IGN has made some sort of controller concept for the new system, currently code named Project Cafe. The controller has an HD screen on a PSP like body. This screen puts out 1080p video and can be streamed to four controllers with different video for each; this is good for split screen games, where the player should only be looking at their own screen instead of looking at their enemy's screen.

Nintendo, Wii Successor Console, Will Arrive when it is announced

The Wii Successor, Nintendo's next gen console, has been accidentally confirmed, it seems. Shigeru Miyamoto was asked about the new next gen console; he said that the console 'will arrive when it is announced.' He seems to have accidentally confirmed the console, but we already knew about it anyway, so who cares.

The new next gen console will have an awesome controller; the controller will have an HD screen on it and be shaped kind of like a PSP. This will allow for split screen games to give each player a 1080p view of only their split of the screen, instead of everyone just looking at four small screens on one television.

I can't wait until the next console comes out, and I hope all of those rumors about the controller are true! This would make it far better than those terrible motion controlled systems, like the PS3, Wii and 360... They are all embracing too much of these new types of controls, I think. However, the new console will be backwards compatible with all Wii and GameCube games, according to rumor. Also, it will have better hardware than the PS3 or 360.

Sony and Microsoft, 360 and PS3 have three years left, Nintendo announcing new console

Microsoft and Sony both seem to have announced that they will keep up with the 360 and PS3 until 2014, which is another three years. Nintendo is going to be announcing their console in a few weeks; here is a design I found of it that might or might not be real.

If this is the real design, then this means that we won't have to look at a four way split screen on a television; we can just look at our own controller and see ourselves. We can make sure the other players aren't peeking at our screens and make it more fair for everyone! This will make this console have a different advantage than anyone else, and if it's patented, then that means they'll stay ahead for a long time - maybe. It just  depends on whether people end up liking this.

Wii 2, Rockstar designing games for the next-gen console

Nintendo is ready to announce their next console, codenamed Project Cafe, within about a month or two; it is rumored that they will reveal it at E3. This will probably take the biggest spotlight at E3, because of it being the first of the next-gen consoles. It will have more powerful hardware than the Xbox 360, according to sources. Now, Rockstar is rumored to be at work on games for the new next-gen console!

I really want to try this thing out; they said it's going to be like an Ipad, but with amazing graphics. This could easily beat the Ipad in sales, if it's true; the console would probably be cheaper, and most of all it would be far better than an Ipad. If Rockstar is on board with a console like this, then there is no question about how amazing it really is going to be!

So, I can't wait to see the reveal of the new console. I'll be waiting eagerly for any news that I can find our hear about the new console coming from Nintendo, soon; I also can't wait to see what games Rockstar might be making for the awesome new console.
