Mass Effect 3, Fall of Earth, Trailer

Here is an awesome trailer for the end of my favorite game series, Mass Effect! - Mass Effect 3 is about stopping the invasion of the terrible race called the Reapers: strange robotic/organic beings that have come to wipe out all sentient life, repeating an ancient cycle started long ago.

This trailer is called Fall of Earth because the Reapers have finally started their full invasion; the Reapers have reached Earth and commander Shepard, the main character (whom you create yourself - male or female), has to stop them before they can kill everyone in the known galaxy!

Shooting and fighting in general looks like a super-improved version of Mass Effect 2, but it still seems about the same in a lot of ways; there are some new additions to the system, but they aren't that big: a new heavy class, a few new powers, etc. Still, the trailer is awesome and the game is sure to be better than anything imaginable!

Here is an AWESOME trailer for Mass Effect 3 - the upcoming sequel to Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2. This game will finish the trilogy and be the end of it all! :D

Mass Effect: Genesis, DLC, Now available on 360 and PC

Mass Effect was released a few years ago for the Xbox 360 and PC. Mass Effect 2 was released, later, for only the 360 and the PC, as well; however, in early 2011, EA decided to release a PS3 version, containing any of the DLC (downloadable content) from the game that was already released for the other systems.

Mass Effect 2 may have been released on the PS3, but Mass Effect was not; Bioware has made their games to where they rely on the choices that you've made in the games before. Mass Effect choices carry over to Mass Effect 2. The reason Mass Effect is not on the PS3 is because Microsoft owns the publishing rights for the original game, while EA owns the publishing rights to any sequels of it.

Because of Mass Effect 2 being released on the PS3 without Mass Effect, they decided to go ahead and include something that allows the player to make choices without it just being a heap of questions thrown at the player; they made a comic called Mass Effect: Genesis.

Mass Effect: Genesis was only available on the PS3 version for five months, but it is now finally released on the 360 and PC for 320 Microsoft Points (360) or 320 Bioware Points (PC). If you don't feel like playing through Mass Effect again or you don't want to play it at all, then this four dollar DLC is a great choice; however, I recommend playing the first game, it's very impressive and the comic simply skips way too much of the original game's important and memorable parts.

Mass Effect 3, Delayed until 2012

Mass Effect 3 was supposed to be released around the same time as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the same time as Minecraft. These both are being released on November 11, 2011 - now, Mass Effect 3 is being released around the same time as Mass Effect 2 was released in 2010.

This will give me more time to play games like Skyrim and Uncharted 3, then be able to replay Mass Effect 1-2 and then play Mass Effect 3 to finally end the story! I can't wait until Mass Effect 3 is released, but I want the game to be perfect, so I am glad they delayed it.

Usually, the terrible Electronic Arts (EA games) won't delay anything, because they only want to get their money immediately - however, they sometimes have to make exceptions when they know it'll ruin the games they're publishing. Mass Effect 3 is one of EA's biggest games, made by Bioware and being published by EA.

Mass Effect 3, New Screenshots

Here are a couple of new screenshots that are from the new and awesome game Mass Effect 3; this is a sequel to Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. These games are some of my very favorite games; there are many choices to be made and any choice can affect tons of things in the end and during the journey.

Mass Effect 3, Release Date

Mass Effect 3's release date has been confirmed! It is going to be on 11-8-11; or, November 8, 2011! I wonder how many people will have to decide between Skyrim, Minecraft or Mass Effect 3? This will be a huge choice for a lot of people (mostly against Skyrim and ME3 - Minecraft can be played anytime, right?)

Anyway, I hope this doesn't affect my ability to play Skyrim, which I want to play almost as much as Mass Effect 3, but not quite as much :D

Mass Effect 3, Trailer

Here is that trailer that was release not too long ago for Mass Effect 3 - I think that it looks super epic! This might contain some slight spoilers, if you haven't played Mass Effect or Mass Effect 2, yet. So, here is the awesome looking trailer!

I am looking forward to this game more than I've ever looked forward to a game, before! If this game isn't done right (like Dragon Age II...) then I'll be very upset, and probably never buy another Bioware game again. Mostly because of Dragon Age II's screwed up recycled content and graphical bugs... If ME3 is anything like that, I'm done with Bioware.

The Mass Effect series developed over time

Mass Effect captured me a few years back when I played the first game on the Xbox 360. I though it was one of the most amazing masterpieces ever! I remember playing through every single random planet I came across that was able to be landed on; when I look back at it now, I think that if it were to be released in the current day that it would be met with heavy opposition, but for its time it was amazing!

I beat that game and eventually sold it at some time that I don't remember. A few years later, I had Steam; this is an online service that sells games on computers (Windows and Mac). I saw Mass Effect was on sale, so I decided to buy it again. I played it again, and had the same wonderful experience as I had the first time! I waited a few months and saw Mass Effect 2 was coming in a few months, so I replayed the game once more, and once again had that amazing experience!

When it was about one month before the release of Mass Effect 2, I had already forgotten a lot of the smaller story pieces in Mass Effect, and that is bad for this series; whatever choices you made in Mass Effect get carried over to Mass Effect 2! So if someone is dead in my play-through of Mass Effect, then they're dead in Mass Effect 2 as well! This can change the game a lot. So I replayed Mass Effect again, loving it like each time before!

I realized that I'd not done some stuff right in this final playthrough, though; so, I quickly replayed Mass Effect again. These two final play throughs took me about 100 hours, together! It was awesome the entire time!

Finally I had gotten Mass Effect 2 and began to play it; I was amazed the entire way through! I was so blown away by the exciting and awesome ways my playthrough changed things - the awesome fighting - the awesome missions in the game. There were no recycled locations, like in Dragon Age II; it was all new over and over! It was called the 'Avatar of video games,' by some critic I remember.

Now, I look forward to Mass Effect 3 and its amazing addition into this amazing series! I can't wait. :D

Anime of Mass Effect! :D

Mass Effect is getting an anime made of it! I can't wait until it is released. They're saying it'll be as high quality as the game itself - which would mean it's... PERFECT! lol

New Mass Effect Novel! - Mass Effect: Deception

Mass Effect already has three novels, but now a fourth one is being released soon. I haven't read any of them, but they would be my first choice, if I were to read any novel based on a video game universe!

Mass Effect 2: Arrival DLC - REVIEW - 3.0/4.0

Mass Effect 2: Arrival is a DLC (Downloadable Content) package released about one year after Mass Effect 2 was released; this dlc is far from perfect but it's still kind of cool.

Pros:

  • It's more Mass Effect 2
  • Great cinematic feel like usual
  • Cool music
  • Fun gameplay
  • Amazing voice acting
  • Epic Storyline
  • Cheap
Cons:
  • Choices you make in this DLC do absolutely nothing to the outcome, other than a couple of dialogue changes.
  • Some of it seems rushed
  • It's a bit short
  • Some of the story seemed a little bit confusing, but mostly it's okay

In all, I really liked this DLC - even if it was short. It's definitely better than Dragon Age II... You can get Mass Effect 2 for free with Dragon Age II, until April 30th, according to Bioware.
