Minecraft surpasses 10,000,000 users!

It seems that Minecraft has now been bought by over 2.6 million people! Ten million registered users are on its site. Minecraft is an amazing open world game that randomizes everything in the entire world as you walk through it; the hills, mountains, oceans, caverns, lava pits, snowy alps, low valleys, deserts, forests, etc. Everything is randomized!

Basically, the goal of the game is to gather different types of blocks (wood from trees, stone from the ground, dirt, etc.) and use these blocks to build a shelter... before nightfall. Nighttime is when the zombies, spiders, skeleton archers, skeleton archers riding spiders and many other creepy things come out to kill you... Including the infamous Creeper...

Creepers are the most annoying yet most original monster of them all... Basically, they exist to destroy what you've built. They explode when they come near you and they destroy all nearby blocks... Even if you spent five years building the Taj Mahal in Minecraft, a huge chunk will be taken out of it by one single Creeper...

This is the face of evil... the Creeper...

Don't let them come near your base! Putting torches around will make sure they can't spawn... they only spawn in the dark. Monsters also spawn in the dark caverns, even during the day or in the darker shadows above ground... so always be aware.

Redbox, Starts offering Video Games

Redbox will start to offer video game rentals at $2 for one night - alongside their $1 DVDs and $1.50 Blu-Rays. This is a really good idea and I wish I had thought of doing it myself... maybe I still should? I would love to have some sort of kiosk to sell video games through - if anyone one wants to work with me, I have great ideas for it.

Anyway, it's awesome that they're offering this. Some video game rentals at places like stores these days are just far too expensive. They will start to offer rentals in June.

Infamous 2, Beta has been extended because of PSN outage

The beta for Infamous 2, the sequel to the awesome game Infamous, has been extended. This is because of PSN's outage. The beta is of the create-a-world mode on PS3, which is usually something hard to make on consoles. Most editors like that are far better on PC, however, this company wants to challenge that.

When PSN comes back online, those select few that are able to playtest it will be given an extra amount of time to playtest. For now, however, we'll just have to wait and see what amount of time will be added to the beta of this awesome looking game!

Portal 2, Coop Campaign Review 5.0/5.0

PORTAL 2: The single player campaign was very awesome, and the single player campaign is the first in the order of the story; I suggest you finish it before playing the Coop storyline, to understand it better. Now, Coop was an awesome experience - I haven't had this much fun in multiplayer... ever!

STORY AND CHARACTERS: There is a wonderful story going on - showing the emotions of the character GlaDos and the strange robots, P-body and Atlas. These two robots are the ones you play as during the Coop campaign, and GlaDos will occasionally whisper to one character individually and tell them that they are doing better or worse than the other player, tell them that the other player is plotting against them, etc.
QUALITY: It's a lot of fun and it's hilarious, just like the normal mode; however, I think the dialogue in the normal mode is much better - but this Coop campaign still stands as one of the best campaigns I've ever played - multiplayer OR single player.

COOPERATIVE: This campaign requires you to work together on everything; it was made fully for multiplayer, separately from the single player, which is clearly made for one player only. Having another player there doesn't make it easier; both players still have to spend a lot of time trying to figure things out, before they can get anywhere. They have to collaborate on everything or fail at everything.

THOUGHTS: I don't think there is a way to make the game better than they have; it is simply above and beyond my expectations for the Coop mode. The ending was awesome, and you'll love it when you play. The story doesn't seem very big, but the end changes everything for Aperture Science, humanity and... you might even save the thing that GlaDos loves the most...

OVERALL: This Coop campaign was awesome and you really should get Portal 2 as soon as you can! Or if you can't afford it, now, then it really doesn't matter. Valve always has sales every couple of months on their games on Steam, making them sometimes about 20% of their original price. As for 360, you can just buy a used copy from someone else - but for the PS3, you activate your game through Steam, so I don't believe you can return the game - but you get the PC and MAC versions of Portal 2 for FREE if you buy the PS3 version, so it might be worth it if you want it on more than just PS3.
