PS3 Price drops to $249!

The PS3 price has dropped. It's now $249, 249 and ¥24,980.

The 360 has dropped significantly since its release a few years ago; the PS3 hasn't dropped quite as far, but it's getting there. Unfortunately, the PS3 isn't in as much of demand as the 360. Xbox 360 has many more games, including indie games and mainstream games that are released and going to be released for it. The PS3 has very few exclusives and not as much to offer, other than a free network unlike the 360.

$25 dollar computer, Available soon

A man named David Braben has designed a computer that costs only twenty-five dollars to make; it runs on the free operating system, Ubuntu (Linux). This allows them to avoid the hefty costs of paying for individual keys for each copy of the operating system.

David hopes to be able to offer the computer for free to British students, to help further their education. I hope he'll be releasing it, too! It would be awesome to be able to carry around a small computer than hooks up to a big screen, like this!

Redbox, Starts offering Video Games

Redbox will start to offer video game rentals at $2 for one night - alongside their $1 DVDs and $1.50 Blu-Rays. This is a really good idea and I wish I had thought of doing it myself... maybe I still should? I would love to have some sort of kiosk to sell video games through - if anyone one wants to work with me, I have great ideas for it.

Anyway, it's awesome that they're offering this. Some video game rentals at places like stores these days are just far too expensive. They will start to offer rentals in June.

Game Industry Devs, Averaged around $81,000 last year(2010)!

Game Developers aren't doing so badly at making money these days; last year (2010), game developers averaged $81,000 per person! This is awesome news, because a couple of years ago, people were saying the game industry was doing terribly (then again, so was everything else!)

Nonetheless, I am happy to hear this news; it makes me believe that I still have a chance to get a career in the video game development field!

$150 Dollar Wii is coming! :D

The Wii is really really expensive, so it's probably a good idea to bring it down soon... The Xbox 360 has outsold that thing for months now - and the Wii is really an inferior system, more so since Kinect was released for the 360. I really hope the price of the Wii keeps going down... Maybe then I'll buy a second one. $99 dollars seems almost right... maybe a little less.
